Olivia Wilde Scorches the Wild West in Cowboys and Aliens

Olivia Wilde is a scorcher, especially in her movie roles like the one she plays in the action science-fiction flick, Cowboys and Aliens. Born Olivia Jane Cockburn, she's a familiar face in the popular series, House, as Dr. Remy Hadley. In Cowboys and Aliens, she's a woman who gets caught in the middle of a war between aliens and cowboys. The aliens like to kidnap people and we can only wonder what the aliens in the movie have in mind when they "take" her. But Wilde doesn't look like she likes little green men.

Wilde seems always perfect whether she's wearing a doctor's white coat or a frontier woman's flowery skirt. In Cowboys and Aliens, she plays Ella, the woman who confronts a confused Jake Lonergan, played by Daniel Craig, telling him something like, "You really don't remember anything, do you?"

But of course after seeing Wilde in Cowboys and Aliens, it's obviously pretty hard not to remember her. She's got the pretty looks perfect for the Wild West and she's also perfect for science-fiction flicks like Tron, where she plays Quorra.

Drew Barrymore Went the Distance

Drew Barrymore has been a star since she was a little kid. Many movie fans still remember her as the little girl in Steven Spielberg's E.T. (The Extra Terrestrial). As of this writing, she stars with Justin Long in director Nanette Burstein's Going the Distance, a romance-comedy about a long distance relationship. Since E.T. Barrymore has indeed gone the distance as an actress.

Never mind the dramas she's starred in. Most of the fans prefer to see her in lighthearted and romantic movies that make them feel good. She was well-received with Adam Sandler in The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. There's hardly any reason to say she won't be as well-remembered in Going the Distance. The movie is kind of like Sleepless in Seattle turned into a comedy. It's another movie for Drew Barrymore fans!

Actress Delphine Chaneac Gets Spliced

Delphine Chaneac is a name that's not quite familiar, yet it's the name of an actress who's appeared in French television shows before and has recently made forays into Hollywood movies. In The Pink Panther (2006), she played herself - as a Ticket Checker. Yes, it's small, but things are getting bigger for Chaneac in Hollywood. With her portrayal of genetically spliced hybrid human Dren, a whole world has opened up for her.

In Splice, she plays the monster that makes life a little bit more interesting for Adrien Brody's character's life. As an experiment-gone-awry, we can only speculate as to how her story will end in the movie. But as we all know, horror movies like Splice tend to be hard to kill, especially if they make money. It's possible we'll see Chaneac in another Splice movie - perhaps a couple or so more.

In Splice, Chaneac is a pretty monster (in spite of her ostrich legs, a tail, and bald head) that starts out as an ugly baby. Here, you can see how pretty she really is. Do you think she'll be playing other monsters in other movies? Maybe not. She may get tapped as a monster-killer, though. Yes, that always works in fantasy action movies - especially if the movie is a video-game adaptation!

Jessica Alba Play Sartana in Machete

In the Machete movie of Robert Rodriguez, Jessica Alba plays a gun-toting chick called Sartana (inspired by Carlos Santana?). She's got a mean and sexy look in one of the Machete promotional posters. I guess she needs to look that way to match co-star Danny Trejo's gravely appearance. But she's really the opposite of Trejo in all aspects - she's smooth while he's rough.

For moviegoers, they will want to see Alba in Machete just for her looks. Of course, there's the slick action that we've all come to expect from a lot of Rodriguez's films. Alba will definitely sizzle in Machete even as she does all manner of stunts that she can do without using a double - a stunt double. If you were thinking body double then it's likely you're wrong as it's obvious that she doesn't need one even now that she's a mom.

Cameron Diaz Is in The Box

Cameron Diaz is one actress who you'll find in the effects movie, The Box. A horror-thriller isn't something that Diaz usually accepts for a project, having been associated in more fun movies like Charlie's Angels and Something About Mary.

So, it's definitely a different Cameron Diaz these days and she's venturing into more serious films like My Sister's Keeper and that makes her worth watching as the years go by.

In this movie, Diaz plays an old-fashioned, ordinary, and typically conservative wife to a character played by James Marsden. She's tempted to decide on something really heavy since it deals with both wealth and death.

In The Box, Diaz has to choose whether or not to press the red button of a mysterious box brought to her by a man with a mutilated face. Pressing it would give her a million dollars but it would also cause the death of someone, somewhere. It's a decision that could either bring out the best or worst in a person, but of course, we all know it's not that simple.

In real life, we all know that Cameron Diaz would never press that button. With her looks and talent, she's easily paid much more as an actress. In other words, she doesn't need a strange box with a red button because she already has box-office clout!

Amy Adams Gets a Night at the Museum

Amy Adams is known to many because of her role in the move Enchanted. There she was like a princess. In her movie with Ben Stiller in Night at the Museum 2, she's Amelia Earhart, who we all know as the lost woman aviator. She wears a tight-fitting aviator outfit, complete with jacket and boots and it gives her a sexy appeal that only she can pull off. Of course, the real Amelia Earhart wore only loose outfits, but this is a movie and it has to show Adams's assets, so to speak.

Indeed, Amy Adams has got a lot of assets to show in Night at the Museum 2 and she's an eyeful whatever part of the museum she goes and whoever she's with - Ben Stiller, Rodin's The Thinker - or a Degas sculpture. She's definitely the most unforgettable character in Night at the Museum 2 and the pictures here show why she's also unforgettable outside of the movie.

Alison Lohman Can Drag You to Hell and Back

Alison Lohman took the place of actress Ellen Page as the lead in Sam Raimi's horror-thriller, prosthetic effects movie Drag Me to Hell. Somehow, we can already tell why Raimi picked Lohman - they look alike and have the same innocent girl-who can't-get-into-trouble expression.

But somehow, when you take a look at the pictures of Alison Lohman here, you would think that she can get you intro trouble. Watch out, an angel when it comes to looks, Lohman can make you trip and send you to hell... and back. Watch her in this sfx movie and see how the judgment of her character leads her into trouble that could very well damn her soul. Raimi's message in the movie - we should all be good to those old women we meet who ask for our help.

Carla Gugino Is All Silk and No Spectre in Real Life

Do you know Carla Gugino? She played a dancer with a gun (and practically nothing else more [left]) in Sin City. She's also the researcher fascinated with the historical Native American girl Sacagawea in Night at the Museum. It's amazing to see her portraying a variety of characters and all of them are believable in more ways than one. What's even more amazing is that she acts and looks differently for each one, and this says a lot about how good she is as an actress.

In Watchmen the movie, Carla Gugino plays Silk (Sally Jupiter) Spectre, an unlikely superhero who in the 1940s with a getup to match. Gugino says her character in Watchmen is a cross between Betty Page and Alberto Vargas. The Betty Page part is obvious, but Alberto Vargas?

The Watchmen characters get to be seen in classic 1940s getups. Compared to their more contemporary wear, these costumes are more appealing in a retro kind of way - with the use of shorts, fishnet stockings, poodle hair, and pastel colors. Yep, straight from a good old cereal box.

Carla Gugino undergoes a transformation in Watchmen - from a 25-year-old heroine to a grandmother in the 1980s. Let's keep her at 25 shall we? Buy this classic pinup action figure of her Silk Spectre character together with her co-heroes now!
