Bret Michaels – Still in Intensive Care Unit
Bret Michaels suffered a major brain hemorrhage last Thursday, and still remains in the intensive care unit since then. He is reportedly under 24-hour surveillance, until further tests this week will help locate the source of the bleeding.
"After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause [of the hemorrhage]," a source told People magazine, in a report that Michaels' rep said was accurate. "[It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation."
Since then many celebrities have sent messages to Bret wishing him a speedy recovery. Here are some of the words left by his co-stars of “Celebrity Apprentice”.
Cindy Lauper: "I am hoping for a speedy recovery". "He is a strong-willed person, so I am feeling very positive that he will pull through like a champion. My thoughts are with his family."
Curtis Stone: "He's a nice man, and I've got great wishes for him".
Maria Kanellis: "All you can do is hope and pray for him and his family," she said. "He's a strong man, so I hope he recovers very quickly."
Donald Trump told TMZ that Bret is in "big, big trouble and the prognosis is not great."
"He turns out to be an amazing competitor, and ultimately, that is the thing that could save his life," Trump said.
Bret was set to release a new album later this year, let’s all wish him well and a speedy recovery.

Actress Delphine Chaneac Gets Spliced
Delphine Chaneac is a name that's not quite familiar, yet it's the name of an actress who's appeared in French television shows before and has recently made forays into Hollywood movies. In The Pink Panther (2006), she played herself - as a Ticket Checker. Yes, it's small, but things are getting bigger for Chaneac in Hollywood. With her portrayal of genetically spliced hybrid human Dren, a whole world has opened up for her.
In Splice, she plays the monster that makes life a little bit more interesting for Adrien Brody's character's life. As an experiment-gone-awry, we can only speculate as to how her story will end in the movie. But as we all know, horror movies like Splice tend to be hard to kill, especially if they make money. It's possible we'll see Chaneac in another Splice movie - perhaps a couple or so more.
In Splice, Chaneac is a pretty monster (in spite of her ostrich legs, a tail, and bald head) that starts out as an ugly baby. Here, you can see how pretty she really is. Do you think she'll be playing other monsters in other movies? Maybe not. She may get tapped as a monster-killer, though. Yes, that always works in fantasy action movies - especially if the movie is a video-game adaptation!
