Resident Evil is one video-movie franchise that's now inevitably associated with model/actress Milla Jovovich as Sean Connery is to James Bond and Tobey Macguire is to Spider-Man. The latest Resident Evil movie as of this writing, Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D, gives Jovovich a new look reminiscent of the costume designs in the Matrix series. When we all thought that Matrix fashion is passe, here we have Jovovich giving life to the techno-style outfits that make us think shades. In Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D, Jovovich has got swords and guns that never seem to miss a scene. What would her character be without them? When it comes to weapons, Jovovich has got to have them in her movies. Yes, she's a bit stereotyped for such roles and we can expect more of her in movies with the same themes that combine fashion, chic, and action. Who knows how many more Resident Evil movies there will be?
Of course, there may come a time when it all must end, just like Sigourney Weaver's character in the Aliens series. But we all know that even after she died, she was brought back as a hybrid clone. We can only wonder how the Resident Evil heroine will end up. But what's certain is that fans will still not get enough of Jovovich even if Resident Evil fades into movie and video game history.
