We all know this face. He's basically played the same character in a number of Robert Rodriguez's Mexican-inspired films like Desperado. He's Mexican-American actor and former bodybuilder Danny Trejo. Now, Trejo's the lead in another of Rodriguez's films, called Machete. In his past movies, Trejo used to carry a lot of knives all over his body; in the movie, Machete, he carries bigger knives called machetes! If you've ever wondered how Trejo looked like as a young bodybuilder, just take a look at the picture at the left. He kind of reminds us of Edward James Olmos.We can only wonder why Rodriguez likes to cast Trejo as a knife-wielding-unsmiling-scary-man, but you have to admit, when Trejo frowns with that classic Western mustache of his, you kind of feel that he's going to eat you alive! But that's really just for the movies. It's basically the character that we're all used to see him portray which are identified with him by now as much as Spock is to Leonard Nimoy, except that Trejo plays different characters who just look and do the same things! Now we would all want a Trejo action figure after Machete! What's that? Did I hear someone say Jessica Alba? Yes, she stars with Trejo in Machete, by the way. I think she's somewhere in this blog.
